Photovoltaic materials and devices for Polymer solar cells

Polymer solar cell is composed of a blend film (active layer) of conjugated polymer donor and acceptor sandwiched between transparent ITO  electrode and low work function metal electrode. It has many pronouncing advantages, such as simple solution processibility, low cost, light weight, and flexibility. In recent years, it has become a research frontier all over world. At present, the focus of research is to improve the power conversion efficiency of the polymer solar cells, and the key to improve the efficiency is concentrated on better designed photovoltaic materials, which has been progressively developed in our group in the past few years.
